Welcome to Cupcakes y Dulces!!

My name is Danielle and this blog is my attempt to share my favorite recipes for cupcakes, cookies, dessert bars, and every other completely unhealthy but absolutely delicious treat I come across! I'm currently a senior at Virginia Tech, and for the past few years I've used baking as a way to de-stress/ procrastinate when I have a final exam or 10 page paper due the next day. I've pulled one too many all-nighters, and half of them could have been avoided if I hadn't spent 2 hours making cupcakes. Whoops.

Along with baking, I also love reading a good book, spending time with my family and friends, traveling, and singing. I'm in an a cappella group at school, and it's one of my favorite things in the world...those girls are some of my best friends, and my college experience wouldn't have been the same without them!!

I recently returned home after 4 months of studying abroad in Seville, Spain, during which time I also visited countries such as Italy, France, Germany, Portugal, and Morocco. I met all kinds of amazing people, went to crazy carnivals and fiestas, learned about different cultures, and ate waaayy too much gelato...but it was SO worth it!

 

 My time abroad was one of the most incredible experiences of my life, and I blogged about every minute of it!! I started to miss being able to write about all my crazy trips and stories, and that's when I decided I'd create a new blog, but with a completely different theme! So here it is - my blog about all things sweet. =) I hope you enjoy!!
